Delete your account or data
How to delete your account in The Miniputt Open, or just some of your data, and what happens to it. You don't need to reinstall the game for any of it.
Delete your whole account
In the game (straight away):
- Open The Miniputt Open.
- On the main menu, tap the settings button (the gear).
- Tap Delete account, then Delete forever.
Your account is deleted at once. If your account has been banned, the launch screen shows a Delete account button instead.
Without the game: email support@spacedawg.co.uk with the subject "Delete my account".
- If you signed in with Google, send it from that Google account's email address.
- If you play as a guest, include your player name and, if you can, your friend code (on the Friends screen).
We may ask you something only the account's owner would know before we delete it. We'll delete the account within 30 days and email you when it's done.
Delete some of your data and keep your account
In the game, any time:
- Settings → turn off Show Google name or Show Google photo to stop other players seeing them.
- Friends → tap a friend to remove them.
- Settings → Privacy & ad choices to change your ad consent (UK and EEA, in the app; on the web, use Google's consent message).
By email: email support@spacedawg.co.uk with the subject "Delete my data", identify your account as above, and say which of these you want:
- Unlink your Google account. We delete the Google account id, email address, name and photo we hold. If your player name came from Google, you get a new one. You stay signed in on your phone or browser. If your account started with Google sign-in rather than as a guest, you won't be able to get back into it after signing out or on a new phone or browser.
- Remove all your friends. We delete your friends list, friend requests and match invitations, both ways.
We'll do it within 30 days and email you when it's done. Anything else can only be removed by deleting your whole account.
What's deleted and what's kept
| Data | When you delete your account |
|---|---|
| Your sign-in: device id, Google or Apple account id, email address, name and photo | Deleted. If you signed in with Apple, we also tell Apple to disconnect the game from your Apple account (Settings → Apple Account → Sign in with Apple on your iPhone). |
| Your profile: player name, avatar and selected ball and trail | Deleted |
| Progress: level, coins, gems, balls, boosters, trails, upgrades, energy, daily spins and rewards, practice progress | Deleted |
| Rankings and scores: ranked rating, course and daily competition scores, weekly league places, wins | Deleted, so you no longer appear on any leaderboard |
| Friends, friend requests and match invitations | Deleted |
| Online matches you played | Kept for your opponents' results, with your name and photo removed. You show as "deleted_" and a number. |
| Purchase records (product, store, order id, status, refunds), coin and gem history, and rewarded ad records | Kept without your name for accounting and tax (UK law), refunds and fraud checks, then deleted 6 years after each was made |
| Reports you made, or that other players made about you (which can include the name you had then) | Kept to deal with cheating and abuse, then deleted 6 years after each was made |
| Server logs (including IP addresses) and backups | Removed as they expire, within 30 days |
A placeholder record, numbered and with nothing about you in it, stays in place of your account so the kept records still add up.
Google holds its own data about ads (AdMob, and AdSense on the web), purchases (Google Play) and Google sign-in. We can't delete that for you. You can manage it in your Google account.
